Adopt an AI Decision Framework to Engage Both People and Technology
A recent Confluent survey shows that 62% of United Kingdom executives use AI to make the majority of their decisions. That raises the question of whether leaders are overrelying on the technology and sidelining human colleagues, as Associations Now writes in an article.
Relying on AI to make company decisions can leave coworkers feeling underutilized. Associations Now suggests investing in a decision framework that defines low-risk decisions. Collectively determining what low-risk decisions can be made alone and which decisions need more scrutiny ensures team members feel heard.
Additionally, this decision framework can define how much of a role AI has in those low-risk decisions. Human judgment and critical thinking are still a necessary component.
Eschewing coworker advice for AI can lead to worker frustration. Embracing a decision framework lets coworkers feel appreciated and necessary while redefining the level of involvement AI has in the organization.
