Despite the anxiety surrounding AI adoption, nonprofits have been slower than corporations in utilizing or planning to use AI, according to a 2023 Salesforce survey.
Major companies like Microsoft have launched initiatives to support nonprofits in embracing technology and AI. By fostering a community where organizations can share experiences and insights, Microsoft aims to alleviate fears and encourage AI adoption among nonprofits.
Associations can start by implementing AI tools like chatbots to streamline processes such as legal procedures and email marketing. Moreover, AI holds promise in making decision-making processes more inclusive, addressing what some refer to as the “perspective deficit” within organizations.
While the prospect of AI-driven change may evoke both promise and apprehension, associations are no strangers to adaptation, particularly given the lessons learned from the pandemic. By initiating discussions and exploring practical applications, leaders have the opportunity to navigate the evolving landscape of AI integration effectively.
